First Aid at Work FAW

Who is this qualification for?
This course is designed for anyone who wants to become a qualified workplace first-aider. It meets the requirements for organisations that have identified the need for staff trained to this level through their first-aid needs assessment.

Course Duration
Learners should expect around 22 hours of training, usually delivered over three days, with a minimum of 18 hours face-to-face instruction.

What you will learn

• Roles and responsibilities of a workplace first aider

• How to assess an incident and respond effectively

• Recognition of common signs and symptoms of injury and illness

• Practical first aid skills including CPR and the safe use of an AED

• How to assist casualties with serious conditions such as chest or spinal injuries, anaphylaxis, and correct use of auto-injectors
